The Amazon 1863 Project Inc. committee met this morning to discuss a proposal recently put forward to form a sub-committee to research the individual crew members of the ship, the builders (F.Clarke) and the owner of the vessel, (J Carrell).

The proposal was unanimously accepted and the sub-committee, named ‘People of Amazon’ is now up and running.

The plan is for interested members of Amazon 1863 Project Inc. to take part in individual and joint research of those involved with the ship, involving genealogy, dusty books, writing of notes and perhaps even interviews.

Those interested in taking part must be financial members of Amazon Project.
