This Amazon shipwreck deadeye was conserved some years ago by Heritage Victoria.

It is one of the hundreds of artefacts held by Heritage Victoria in their climate-controlled Melbourne storage facility.

Deadeyes were used in the ships rigging where different ropes passed through the holes and around the perimeter of the deadeye.
